Simisola Fajemirokun-Ajayi, House of Representatives aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Ile-Oluji/Oke-Igbo/Odigbo Federal Constituency of Ondo State, has urged leaders to remain committed to service, accountability and inclusive governance as Nigeria marks Democracy Day.
In a statement on Friday in Abuja, Fajemirokun-Ajayi said democracy is about creating opportunities for ordinary citizens, including market women, youths, farmers, artisans, teachers and entrepreneurs whose aspirations depend on responsive leadership.
She praised Nigerians for their resilience and steadfast faith in democracy, noting that the nation’s democratic journey has endured because citizens have continued to participate in the governance process and demand accountability. The APC aspirant also commended the people of Ile-Oluji, Oke-Igbo and Odigbo Federal Constituency for their commitment to democratic values, stressing that communities prosper when citizens actively engage in shaping their future.
