The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (Ambo), has criticised the administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke, alleging that despite receiving close to N1trillion in revenue since assuming office, the state government has failed to deliver meaningful improvements in critical sectors such as education and healthcare.

Oyebamiji made the remarks in a Democracy Day statement issued on Friday, where he joined Nigerians in celebrating the heroes and heroines of the June 12 struggle while reflecting on the state of governance in Osun.

According to the APC flagbearer, the welfare of the people should remain the foremost priority of any government, stressing that the current administration has fallen short of expectations despite increased allocations accruing to the state following recent fiscal reforms by the Nigerian government.

He noted that many of the promises made by Governor Adeleke during the 2022 election campaign remain unfulfilled, citing the condition of public schools, healthcare facilities and infrastructure across the state.
