The land was acquired for $131 million, a significant increase from the transaction for a previously purchased 150-acre property, which in April 2019 went through for $37.11m.

The land is located near Citrus and Indian School roads, and was purchased from Chicago-based First Industrial Realty Trust. Including other previous purchases in the area, this brings Microsoft's footprint to more than 550 acres.
