Microsoft has expanded its landholdings in the Netherlands, acquiring additional land in Middenmeer, North Holland.
As reported by the Dutch publication NRC, Microsoft has purchased a 37.5-hectare (92.6-acre) plot of agricultural land near Middenmeer, North of Amsterdam.

The property was purchased for €44 million ($50m) in June, on land next to where Tennet is looking to establish a new substation, as per Land Registry data reviewed by the publication.
Microsoft told the publication that there are currently no plans for a data center on the property, but that "It would be nice if we could ever develop on it," suggesting future intentions to do so.
