Superintendent of Police, Amit Bardar reviewed the status of pending cases, progress of investigations, crimes against women, narcotics control, road safety, public grievance redressal and other law-and-order focus areas during a monthly crime review meeting held with personnel at Paderu in Alluri Sitharama Raju district on Thursday.During the meeting, the SP reiterated the need for stringent action against the cultivation, transportation, sale, and consumption of ganja and other narcotic substances. Officers were directed to intensify surveillance, utilising drug detection kits, and strengthen enforcement through the use of drones, CCTVs, and other advanced technological tools. Special emphasis was laid on the prevention and investigation of crimes against women, prompt assistance to victims, and expeditious disposal of cases.The police were also directed to maintain close surveillance on habitual offenders, strengthen night patrolling and vehicle checking. The SP also appealed to the public to cooperate with the police by sharing information relating to narcotics, cyber crimes, road safety violations, and other unlawful activities.During the meeting, cash rewards were presented to police personnel who demonstrated outstanding performances.
