Two school students were killed and two others were injured in a road accident at Mettathur on the Chennai-Tiruchi national highway on Thursday.The deceased were identified as K. Justin, 16, and L. Bruno, 17, studying in Class XI and XII respectively in a private school at Siruthanur.Police said the duo along with L. Alen, 15, and A. Sujith, 16, were going on a motorcycle from Gedilam to Madapattu. When they attempted to cross the road, an omni van hit them. In the impact, all four were thrown off the vehicle sustaining serious injuries. While Justin and Bruno died on the spot, the other injured were sent to the Government Villupuram Medical College and Hospital. A case has been registered. Published - June 11, 2026 07:41 pm IST
