OTTAWA — U.S. President Donald Trump says he is not inclined to renew the Canada-U.S.-Mexico Agreement on free trade that he signed in 2020.
Speaking Wednesday in the Oval Office, Trump said the agreement, known as CUSMA in Canada and USMCA in the United States, “did one thing that I loved: after six years it comes up for renewal. I don’t know that I’m going to renew it, because to be honest with you, United States does much better.
