International Relations and Cooperation Minister, Ronald Lamola International Relations and Cooperation Minister, Ronald Lamola has warned against misinformation and discriminatory public statements, saying there is no credible evidence supporting allegations of a large presence of trained Jewish individuals from Israel in South Africa.

Minister of International Relations and Cooperation Ronald Lamola has distanced the Government of National Unity from claims suggesting that Pakistani nationals are being encouraged to relocate to South Africa and that 15,000 trained Jewish individuals from Israel are in the country.

This comes after Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) Member of Parliament (MP) Thandiswa Marawu asked whether the department aligns itself with or endorses remarks allegedly made by a certain individual encouraging the relocation of Pakistani nationals to South Africa and alleging the presence of “15,000 trained Jews from Israel” in the country.

Responding to the parliamentary questions, Lamola said the Department of International Relations and Cooperation (DIRCO) “unequivocally does not align itself with or endorse the comments attributed to the individual mentioned in the parliamentary question.”
