Bulgarian Defense Minister Dimitar Stoyanov has announced that Bulgaria will no longer provide weapons to Ukraine.

He made the statement at a press conference in Sofia on Tuesday, June 9, according to Ukrinform, citing The Sofia Globe.

“Ukraine needs more people, not more weapons. It has enough weapons, so we do not envisage providing more weapons to the Ukrainian army,” Stoyanov said.

In his view, “the war in Ukraine will not be resolved on the battlefield.”

“We see a positional war and no matter how much armament is accumulated, the only thing that is achieved is the loss of human lives,” Stoyanov said.
