The Greek shipbuilding industry is now making a systematic effort to restructure, as it attempts to capitalize on the various geopolitical upheavals and the need of the West to diversify its industrial bases.

Substantial agreements, which Greek shipyards strike with international giants, have been increasing just in the last weeks.

Although at a global level, the Greek infrastructure is of a minimal size compared to the Asian shipbuilding giants, developments signal the country’s realistic return to the regional map, with an emphasis on specialized projects, on defense orders and on strategic synergies.
