“The Greek Shipyard Renaissance: Rebuilding Capacity, Restoring Leadership,” a high-level panel organized by SNAME Greece and sponsored by Posidonia Exhibitions SA, will bring together senior representatives from leading Greek shipyards during mexy month’s Posidonia 2026 to examine the sector’s ongoing revival.

The discussion will explore how renewed investment, modernised infrastructure and the return of critical skills are reshaping Greece’s ship repair and shipbuilding landscape.

Through a moderated interview format, panelists will address how Greek yards are responding to evolving market demands with upgraded facilities, digitalisation, workforce development and closer collaboration with class societies, designers and equipment manufacturers.

The session will highlight how shipyards are once again positioning themselves as competitive and technologically capable partners for both domestic and international maritime stakeholders.

The discussion will focus on key growth segments defining the sector’s new era, including high-end superyacht construction and refit, participation in advanced naval vessel programmes and the development of specialised vessels such as tugboats, bunkering vessels and workboats supporting modern port and energy infrastructure.
