Greece’s historic Skaramangas Shipyards will be presenting its revitalised commercial capabilities and extensive infrastructure to the global maritime community during its second participation in Posidonia this June.
Following a prolonged period focused primarily on servicing the fleet of the Hellenic Navy, the shipyard is now reintroducing its facilities to commercial shipowners and operators after a change in ownership and management.
The yard will highlight its capacity to undertake heavy and specialised repair projects, supported by state-of-the-art equipment and some of the largest dry docks in the Mediterranean, capable of accommodating vessels as large as Suezmax tankers and LNG carriers.
“Skaramangas Shipyards is an emblematic Greek shipyard which has delivered a great number of newbuilding projects, ranging from tankers and bulk carriers to sophisticated naval vessels,” said Chairman Miltiadis Varvitsiotis.
“After a period of slowdown, the shipyard is making a strong restart by attracting new business in both commercial and naval ship repairs,” he added.
