U.S. futures for the S&P 500 were up 0.3% and futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average climbed 0.1%. Changes in futures do not necessarily predict movements after the opening bell.

In Europe, the Stoxx Europe 600 gained 0.1% in morning trading. WPP PLC rose 5.6% and Zealand Pharma added 4.9%. On the other hand, K+S dropped 4.6%, and Wise Group lost 3.4%. The FTSE 100 lost 0.4%. Other stocks in Europe were mixed as France's CAC 40 increased 0.2% and Germany's DAX was flat.

The Wall Street Journal Dollar Index dropped 0.1% to 96.45.

In commodities, Brent crude fell 1% to $93.35 a barrel, and WTI crude fell 1.8% to $89.68 a barrel. The European benchmark price for natural gas, the Dutch futures contract TTF, was up 0.6% to 50.12 euros a megawatt hour.

The German 10-year Bund yield declined by 1 basis point to 3.059% from 3.064%, and the yield on the 10-year U.S. Treasury fell by 1 basis point to 4.553% from 4.568%. Bond prices and yields move in opposite directions.
