King Misuzulu kaZwelithini's legitimacy has been recognised by the Constitutional Court. .

The Constitutional Court has dashed the last hopes of king Misuzulu kaZwelithini’s detractors of removing him from the throne.

On Friday, the highest court dismissed Prince Mbonisi kaBhekuzulu's last ditch effort to have king Misuzulu’s recognition set aside. In April, Prince kaBhekuzulu and 23 other royal family members had petitioned the Concourt to rescind its earlier decision to dismiss Zulu's appeal at the Supreme Court of Appeal, which affirmed king Misuzulu as the legitimate Amazulu monarch.

Prince Mbonisi is the half-brother of the late Zulu King Goodwill Zwelithini, who was king Misuzulu's father.

In Friday's judgment, the Concourt said after considering Prince Zulu’s application for a rescission, it found no reason to overturn its earlier decision.
