King Misuzulu kaZwelithini says he wants full control of the Ingonyama Trust land.
AmaZulu King Misuzulu kaZwelithini has reiterated his call for full control of the 2.8 million hectares of land under the Ingonyama Trust.
Speaking in a ceremony on Tuesday at Mashobeni Palace, the king told the gathering, which included KwaZulu-Natal Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs MEC Reverend Thulasizwe Buthelezi, that he is the sole owner of the title deed of all the land under the Trust.
In a statement issued by his Private Secretary, Arnold Ndamase, the king expressed concern regarding recent public statements suggesting that he had endorsed proposals for the administration of the Ingonyama Trust to be transferred to the Office of the Premier of KwaZulu-Natal.
He categorically rejected this assertion and stated that he had not authorised any person to represent such a position on his behalf.
