A 55-year-old woman who was riding pillion was run over by a lorry near Pattaraiperumbudur Toll Plaza in Tiruvallur district. Her husband sustained minor injuries.According to the police, Amulu, 55, and her husband Sankaraiah, 56, were on their way to the Tiruvallur Government Medical College Hospital on a motorcycle from their native village of Jankalapalli.As they crossed the Pattaraiperumbudur Toll Plaza, the lorry crashed into their vehicle from behind and ran over Amulu.Sankaraiah was rescued and sent to the Tiruvallur Government Medical College for treatment.
