Superintendent of Police Vikrant Patil on Saturday (June 6, 2026) distributed summer kit bags worth ₹1.90 lakh to the district traffic police personnel.The kit bags contained items such as caps, steel water bottles, Electral sachets, masks, and sunglasses. They were received from the DGP’s office and were distributed to ensure the welfare of the traffic police personnel who perform their duties under the scorching heat.Speaking to the media on the occasion, Mr. Vikrant Patil said the kit bags were handed over to 127 personnel working in the traffic police wings of Kurnool city, Adoni, and Yemmiganur.Earlier in the day, he unveiled the statue of Buddha installed on the premises of the Kurnool Traffic Police Station. He also inaugurated the renovated rooms within the station.He handed over financial assistance of ₹50,800, collected by the police staff, to the family of Home Guard Krishna, who had recently passed away while on duty at the Kurnool Traffic Police Station.The Kurnool SP commended the traffic police personnel for their dedicated service in managing traffic and assisting the public, even amidst intense heat.
