TTD on Friday launched 'Srivari Vaidya Seva' programme on a pilot basis, which offers an opportunity for medical experts from across the globe to render their services voluntarily in hospitals affiliated to the temple body.TTD executive officer (EO) M Ravichandra launched an IT application to facilitate the programme, and observed that the initiative has been undertaken with the objective of making the services of medical experts available to the devotees of Lord Venkateswara."Following the directives of the Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, the 'Srivari Vaidya Seva' programme was launched experimentally in TTD hospitals on Friday," said an official press release from the temple body.According to the EO, TTD will act as a platform for professionals who wish to come forward with a service-oriented mindset in the fields of education, healthcare, IT, and other sectors.Through this specially designed IT application, devotees and medical experts from across the globe can register online to offer their services on dates convenient to them.Super-speciality medical experts will be facilitated to render voluntary service for a period of three days, while MBBS doctors can serve for seven days, said the press release.Food and accommodation will be provided by TTD for them in Tirumala and Tirupati.Medical experts can offer their services at Ashwini Hospital, SVIMS, BIRRD Hospital, Ayurvedic Hospital, Sri Padmavathi Children's Heart Centre, SV Gosala, and other TTD-affiliated institutions.Officials stated that interested medical professionals belonging to the Hindu religion can participate in this programme by booking their slots online through the TTD website, said the press release.Further, Ravichandra explained that in the future, steps will be taken to implement this programme on a larger scale to utilise the services of a greater number of experts, the press release added.Published on June 6, 2026
