Youths in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, have declared a total shutdown of commercial and social activities across the town beginning Monday, protesting over the government's slow response to the abduction of schoolchildren and teachers from Oriire local government of the state.
The development was announced in a video obtained by SaharaReporters, which showed groups of youths and old men moving around the town with megaphones, urging residents to comply with the planned shutdown.
