Defense Minister Dimitar Stoyanov told the National Assembly that information regarding Bulgaria’s provision of air defense assets and capabilities to Ukraine remains classified at the “Confidential” level and therefore cannot be disclosed publicly.

He noted that since the beginning of Bulgaria’s military assistance to Ukraine, support has been delivered in several separate packages, in line with decisions taken by both parliament and the Council of Ministers. According to him, this assistance has included various types of military aid provided over time in different tranches.

Stoyanov specifically addressed claims about the supply of sea mines, rejecting them. “Regarding the provision of sea mines to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the Republic of Bulgaria has not provided sea mines to Ukraine,” he stated.

At the same time, he confirmed that Bulgaria has supplied air defense-related assets as part of its broader military support framework since the start of the conflict, though he emphasized that detailed information remains classified and cannot be made public.
