Coca-Cola $KO +2.95% is selling limited-edition soccer ball-shaped bottles at Walmart $WMT +1.98% stores ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Each bottle contains 13.5 fluid ounces of regular Coca-Cola and carries red, white, and blue graphics referencing the tournament set to take place in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.
According to USA Today, images of the bottles appearing in World Cup-themed retail displays spread rapidly across social media, attracting attention from collectors and soccer fans. No official rollout announcement has been issued by Coca-Cola; the outlet said it reached out to the company seeking clarity on timing, availability duration, and participating retail locations.
The bottles are priced at $2.50 each, according to Allrecipes. Rather than drinking the bottles, some buyers have turned to eBay to sell them sealed.
The soccer ball bottles are one of several World Cup-tied products Coca-Cola has introduced this year. In March, Coca-Cola announced a partnership with Panini America to place officially licensed FIFA World Cup stickers beneath the peel-back labels of select Coca-Cola and Coca-Cola Zero Sugar 20-oz bottles sold in the U.S. and Canada. Beginning April 20, fans could collect one of 12 stickers featuring international players from 10 competing nations, with the full set filling a dedicated page in the official Panini FIFA World Cup 2026 sticker album, the company said. Coca-Cola said more than one billion special-edition Panini stickers would be distributed globally under bottle labels.
