The 29-year-old man who murdered his parents and sister on their Northern Cape farm as a teenager will remain behind bars.
The Griekwastad killer will remain behind bars after a decision to release him on parole was overturned.
Correctional Services Minister Pieter Groenewald's spokesperson, Euné Wessels, confirmed this on Thursday night.
The man, now 29, is serving a 20-year prison sentence for the murders of his father, Deon, 44, his mother, Christel, 43, and his 14-year-old sister, Marthella.
He cannot be named because he was 15 when he took two firearms from the family safe and shot all three victims multiple times at their farm, Naauwhoek, near Griekwastad on Good Friday in 2012.
