SAN ANTONIO, ZAMBALES, Philippines — After two days at sea, nine fishermen on board a distressed fishing boat were rescued and arrived in Silanguin Cove here, the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) said on Thursday, June 4.
According to the PCG, its patrol vessel BRP Cabra (MRRV-4409) was dispatched after the fishing boat FFB Maria Luisa reported distress in the waters off Palauig Point on Monday, June 1.
The vessel arrived at the area and immediately coordinated with the crew to assess the situation.
