The widow of slain businessman, Godwin Chinedu Lucky Adimike, alongside two of her children and a family friend, has filed a fundamental rights enforcement suit before the Federal High Court in Abuja against the Nigeria Police Force, the Inspector-General of Police and the Commissioner of Police of the Federal Capital Territory Command, Abuja, over alleged unlawful detention and violation of constitutional rights.

The applicants in the suit are; Lovelyn Chizoba Adimike, Anthony Odirachukwumma Adimike, Stephanie Chinyere Adimike and Comfort Ajibade.
The respondents are; the Nigeria Police Force, the Inspector-General of Police, the Commissioner of Police, FCT Command, and the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Lateef Fagbemi (SAN).
