A Shakaskraal pensioner was brutally attacked with an industrial plier during an alleged road rage incident in Verulam on Tuesday.
Laukoosh Rampurshad, 67, said he came under attack while travelling along Wick Street at around 5pm.
“There was quite a bit of traffic and the cars were moving bumper-to-bumper. A driver tried to enter my lane, so I gave him space. The truck in front of us moved, so I moved forward a bit. But this man did not move.
“Instead, he jumped out of his vehicle and approached me. He shouted that I hit his car. When I got out of my van to check, I was close to him but there was still a space between the vehicles. I did not touch his vehicle,” he said
