The KwaZulu-Natal Department of Transport has launched an investigation with SAPS and Metro Police after an e-hailing driver was allegedly attacked and forced to drop off passengers in KwaNdengezi.

The KwaZulu-Natal Department of Transport has condemned the violent attack on an e-hailing driver and the alleged harassment and intimidation of female passengers in KwaNdengezi Township, west of Durban.

Duma said the department received distressed calls from the leadership of the KZN e-Hailing Council and was provided with a video of the incident showing the attack on the driver.

''Last night, we received distressed calls from the leadership of the KZN e-Hailing Council.

''They shared a video showing an attack on the e-hailing driver who was transporting female passengers,'' said Duma.
