Katta Ravi Teja

Katta Ravi Teja assumed charge as Commissioner of the Coimbatore Municipal Corporation on Wednesday (June 3), succeeding M. Sivaguru Prabakaran, who has been appointed Collector of Ramanathapuram district.Mr. Ravi Teja previously served as Regional Deputy Commissioner (North) in the Greater Chennai Corporation, where he oversaw civic administration and the implementation of sanitation and infrastructure projects in North Chennai.A native of Telangana, he began his career as Assistant Collector (Trainee) in Tiruvannamalai district and later served as Assistant Secretary in the Union Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare in New Delhi. He subsequently worked as Sub-Collector of Tindivanam in Villupuram district.Speaking after assuming office, Mr. Ravi Teja said improving drinking water supply, solid waste management and the delivery of basic civic services would be among his priorities. He said his experience in urban administration would help him address civic issues and contribute to the city’s development.Mr. Ravi Teja is the 30th Commissioner of the Coimbatore Corporation.
