According to RULAAC, one of the petitions focuses on the failure of the police to produce defendants for arraignment in two criminal cases pending before the Federal High Court in Enugu.

The Rule of Law and Accountability Advocacy Centre (RULAAC) has petitioned the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), raising alarm over alleged abuse of police powers, obstruction of justice, and misuse of criminal processes in Enugu State.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, RULAAC said it had submitted two separate petitions to the IGP, alleging actions and omissions by police authorities that could undermine public confidence in the Nigeria Police Force and threaten the administration of justice.

According to RULAAC, one of the petitions focuses on the failure of the police to produce defendants for arraignment in two criminal cases pending before the Federal High Court in Enugu.

The cases are marked FHC/EN/CR/84/2025, IGP v. Kingsley Eze & 2 Others, and FHC/EN/CR/222/2024, IGP v. Alex Ifeadi & 2 Others.
