U.S. futures for the S&P 500 were flat and futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average declined 0.2%. Changes in futures do not necessarily predict movements after the opening bell.

In Europe, the Stoxx Europe 600 fell 0.1% in morning trading. B&M European Value Retail climbed 13% and Industria Diseno Textil added 4.6%. On the other hand, Partners Group Holding dropped 11.8%, and Wise Group lost 4.4%. The FTSE 100 was flat. Other stocks in Europe were down as France's CAC 40 decreased 0.3% and Germany's DAX fell 0.7%.

The Wall Street Journal Dollar Index rose 0.1% to 95.95.

In commodities, Brent crude gained 1.8% to $97.70 a barrel, and WTI crude climbed 2% to $95.64 a barrel. The European benchmark price for natural gas, the Dutch futures contract TTF, was up 3.3% to 49.17 euros a megawatt hour.

The German 10-year Bund yield rose by 3 basis points to 3.009% from 2.981%, and the yield on the 10-year U.S. Treasury climbed by 4 basis points to 4.481% from 4.446%. Bond prices and yields move in opposite directions.
