As part of efforts to modernise public administration, the Cuddalore district administration, in collaboration with GUVI (an HCL Group company), on Tuesday, launched a two-day training programme on Artificial Intelligence for administrative excellence here.According to Collector Sibi Adhithya Senthil Kumar, the programme aligns with the Tamil Nadu government’s objective to integrate secure technology into day-to-day governance. The primary goal of this workshop is to train government administrators in utilising generative AI tools to automate routine documentation, analyse policy reports, and streamline disaster management communications.Through these measures, the district administration aims to reduce administrative processing time and improve citizen service delivery, Mr. Kumar said.The training saw active participation from Administrative Officers, District-level officers, Department Heads, and monitoring teams, and Public Service Delivery officials across critical departments, including revenue, public health, agriculture and disaster management.The hands-on workshop was mentored by Vasudev Kumaran Hariram, Group Software Architect, and Rajesh Kanna, Senior Business Development Manager from GUVI. The sessions focused on practical governance workflows, ranging from managing inter-departmental data to generating multi-lingual public safety alert for coastal regions.
