Porkodi, who led the session, said, “For the first time in Tamil Nadu’s census history, self-enumeration and digital census methods are being introduced. The self-enumeration process, where the public can submit their details on their own through the internet portal, will take place from July 17 to July 31.”The Houselisting and Housing Census operations, which would be conducted door-to-door by enumerators, are scheduled to take place from August 1 to August 30, she added.“The District Collector will function as the Principal Census Officer for Sivaganga district, while the Municipal Corporation Commissioner will serve as the Principal Census Officer for the corporation area. For rural and urban areas, 9 tahsildars, three municipal commissioners, 9 town panchayat executive Officers, and 12 Block Development Officers will function as In-charge Officers,” Ms. Porkodi added.
