The Kogi State Police Command has disclosed it successfully conducted a comprehensive training programme on Weapon Handling and Marksmanship for a total of 565 Constables.
According to the command this was part of ongoing efforts to enhance operational efficiency, professionalism, and service delivery within the Nigeria Police Force.
A statement issued on Monday by the Command’s spokesperson, ASP Saliu Oyiza Afusat stated that “The training, which commenced on 13th April, 2026 and lasted two months, was held in line with the strategic vision and initiatives of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, aimed at strengthening the capacity of Police personnel to effectively address contemporary security challenges and improve public safety.”
Speaking during the Passing-Out Parade held at the Command Headquarters, Lokoja, the Commissioner of Police, Kogi State Command, Naziru Bello Kankarofi commended the participants for their dedication, discipline, and commitment throughout the training period.
