The Kogi State Police Command has successfully conducted a comprehensive training programme on weapon handling and marksmanship for a total of five hundred and sixty-five (565) constables.

This command was part of ongoing efforts to enhance operational efficiency, professionalism, and service delivery within the Nigeria Police Force.

A statement issued on Monday by the Command’s spokesperson, ASP Saliu Afusat, stated that “The training, which commenced on 13th April, 2026 and lasted two months, was held in line with the strategic vision and initiatives of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, aimed at strengthening the capacity of Police personnel to effectively address contemporary security challenges and improve public safety.
