Air New Zealand has quietly axed its "Regional Gotta Go" discount scheme on domestic flights, marking yet another cost-cutting measure for the national carrier.
The last-minute fares have been removed from the airline's website.
Customers attempting to book the service last week were informed by staff that the scheme would end on May 27.

Under the initiative, travellers could call the airline 90 minutes to an hour before departure of a flight to or from a regional airport to secure a last-minute seat.
