Nearly 93% of weapons and equipment codified in May are Ukrainian-made

Ukraine's Ministry of Defence has reported that 175 new models of weapons and military equipment were codified in May 2026, most of which were developed by Ukraine's defence industry.

Quote from the Defence Ministry: "Nearly 93% of all new items were developed and manufactured by Ukrainian arms producers. This confirms the rapid development and growing autonomy of Ukraine's defence industrial base."

Details: Unmanned aerial systems, munitions and armoured vehicles make up the largest share of the approved equipment. Nearly 60 UAV systems were codified last month, including Ukrainian developments such as the Tin, Tur, Mamba, Palii, D'Artagnan and Lupynis, along with over 40 new types of munitions and 18 models of armoured vehicle.
