While a total of 355 students of Telangana Social Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society appeared for the JEE Advanced 2026, 61 students qualified and 102 students secured preparatory ranks, a total of 163 students, as per results announced on Monday,The students are from the Society’s 37 Centres of Excellence institutions specially established for Science and Arts streams. Among the rankers, one student secured a rank below 500, three were in the top 1,000, and overall, 39 below 5000 ranks. P. Hemanth from Chilkur Boys’ Centre of Excellence secured 200th rank in the ST category.From the Telangana Tribal Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society (TGTWREIS) and Telangana Ekalavya Model Residential Schools (TGEMRS), a total of113 students secured ranks. While 208 students received focussed training, two students secured ranks in the open category and 35 students secured category ranks, and 96 students secured preparatory ranks. E. Charanjyoshi bagged the 156th rank and Guguloth Charan secured 202nd rank.B. Akhila from Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya, Farooqnagar, secured a preparatory rank of 831, and seven other girl students who qualified the examination are likely to secure admissions in institutions such as NITs and other leading engineering collegesMinister for SC, ST & Minority welfare, Adluri Laxman Kumar, congratulated the students, teachers, and parents, and said that the results are a testimony to the State government’s efforts to realise social justice through education.“Gurukula students proved that poverty is no barrier to talent. It is a matter of pride that students hailing from rural areas have secured admissions into the country’s premier educational institutions.
