Gemco construction company boss Darren Diack called on his family and his deep building knowledge to create this attractive luxury coastal courtyard house and they’ve only got to enjoy it for a year with a new plan to head to Australia to chase an Olympic dream of his wife’s.
“My wife, Holly Diack, is a Kiwi professional dressage rider. To keep progressing towards her goal of competing at the 2032 Brisbane Olympic games, she ideally needs to compete more regularly in Australia,” he explains.
Once they sell their near new home in Napier’s Meeanee (pronounced Mee-ahn-ee) Quay, they will look for an equine property in Australia and divide their time between their existing Havelock North equine property and the new one across the ditch.
These life changes for the vendors who had intended this property to be their forever home, provides an opportunity for a new owner, who can just walk into this thoughtfully designed four-bedroom, four-bathroom home with pool, and sit back.
A great deal of effort was put into the creation of this luxury property. Diack and other family members had lived in the three flats previously on the site since 2017.
