An elderly woman was found unconscious after being rescued from an apartment fire early Sunday in the northern town of Ptolemaida.
The fire broke out shortly before 5 a.m. on the second floor of a residential building in the Kozani region under unclear circumstances.
Firefighters responded with two vehicles and four personnel, evacuating the resident and extinguishing the blaze.
The woman was pulled from the apartment unconscious and transferred by ambulance for emergency treatment, the Fire Service said.
The fire was later brought fully under control. The cause is under investigation.
