CHICAGO — The first randomized trial to evaluate whether a multicancer early detection test using a blood sample could result in diagnosis at earlier stages yielded mixed results.The NHS-Galleri trial did not meet its primary endpoint, failing to show a reduction in combined stage III/stage IV diagnoses of 12 prespecified cancer types.
