Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, on Saturday canvassed support for Ekiti State Governor and All Progressives Congress governorship candidate, Biodun Oyebanji, ahead of the June 20 election, while announcing a N100m empowerment grant for 2,000 women in the state.

Speaking during a women’s gathering at the Ekitikete Pavilion in Ado Ekiti, the First Lady thanked residents for their support for Oyebanji’s administration and urged them to vote for him in the forthcoming governorship poll.

“We are here for BAO (Governor Oyebanji). We are here to thank you for your support of BAO and his wife, Dr Olayemi Oyebanji. Vote for Governor Oyebanji,” she said.

Tinubu also announced a N100m grant for women in the state, saying 2,000 beneficiaries would receive N50,000 each to support their businesses.
