A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Bauchi State, Khamis Darazo, has commended the First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, for her commitment to empowering women, saying her initiatives are helping to drive economic growth, strengthen families and promote national development.

In a statement issued on Friday, Darazo said the achievements of many Nigerian women showed that genuine empowerment does not necessarily require huge capital but determination, discipline and access to opportunities.

He cited the story of a businesswoman, Asabe, based in Abuja, who, according to him, built houses from the proceeds of sells of akara and akamu.

“I know a hardworking woman named Asabe in Abuja who built houses from the profits she earned selling akara and akamu. Her story is a powerful reminder that no legitimate business is too small to create wealth. With dedication, prudent management and consistency, ordinary businesses can produce extraordinary results,” Darazo said.
