President Bola Tinubu on Tuesday urged the people of Ekiti State to re-elect Governor Biodun Oyebanji in Saturday’s governorship election.

Tinubu, who commended the Ekiti people for standing firmly with the All Progressives Congress through its political journey, said the state was fortunate to have a leader like Oyebanji at this critical time.

Represented by Vice President Kashim Shettima at the APC Mega Rally held to conclude the party’s governorship campaign, the President said Oyebanji had demonstrated through his performance that he was well prepared for leadership and committed to delivering tangible benefits to the people.

Tinubu also presented Oyebanji to former governors and former first ladies of the state, urging them to work diligently to secure victory for the governor in the election.

The rally was attended by 18 governors, 24 senators, members of the House of Representatives and APC leaders, including Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, Deputy Senate President, Barau Jibrin, APC National Chairman, Prof Nentawe Yilwatda; Governors Monday Okpebholo (Edo), Usman Ododo (Kogi), Dapo Abiodun (Ogun) and Hope Uzodimma (Imo).
