Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji, on Saturday described the massive turnout of All Progressives Congress members across the state to return the party’s presidential ticket to President Bola Tinubu as a resounding vote of confidence in the President.

Oyebanji, who said the turnout was support for the President’s leadership and a strong affirmation of the party’s unity and internal democracy, hailed APC members across 177 wards in the state for their display of love for the party.

The governor spoke to journalists after the exercise at his Ward 6, Ikogosi where all 620 members who voted were in favour of Tinubu. The ward has 624 registered members.

Oyebanji, who arrived at Ward 6, Ikogosi-Ekiti at about 10:35am and participated in the exercise, described the process as peaceful, orderly and a true reflection of the party’s commitment to deepening internal democracy across all levels.
