A faction of the Lagos State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party loyal to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has suspended a former Deputy National Chairman of the party, Bode George, and 23 other members over alleged anti-party activities.
The suspension was announced on Friday in a statement signed by the Chairman of the party’s disciplinary committee in the state, Kayode Ogunbiyi, and the committee’s secretary, Desmond Agbo.
A copy of the statement obtained by Saturday PUNCH said the action became necessary as the party could no longer tolerate conducts capable of causing disaffection among members.
According to the statement, the decision followed a meeting of the disciplinary committee held on May 26, 2026, during which several petitions alleging anti-party activities and breaches of the PDP constitution were reviewed.
