In a statement issued on Monday by the party’s Media Centre, the PDP alleged that the state government was plotting to revoke the Certificate of Occupancy (C of O) of its State Secretariat in Abakaliki, the state capital.
The Ebonyi State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has accused the administration of Governor Francis Nwifuru of orchestrating a dangerous campaign of political intimidation and executive overreach aimed at suppressing opposition activities in the state ahead of the 2027 general elections.
In a statement issued on Monday by the party’s Media Centre, the PDP alleged that the state government was plotting to revoke the Certificate of Occupancy (C of O) of its State Secretariat in Abakaliki, the state capital.
The opposition party warned that such a move could trigger political instability and undermine constitutional democracy in the state.
The statement, signed by the state chairman, Mr Chukwuma Igwe; State Secretary, Mr Henry Ngonu, and Publicity Secretary, Mr Darlington Peter Onwe, accused the Ebonyi State Government of displaying increasing intolerance toward opposition voices in the state.
