Two new online systems that were presented on Wednesday in the presence of Labor and Social Security Minister Niki Kerameus are expected to improve speed and access to citizens’ social insurance information, and speed up procedures to issue pensions.
The first, the new Comprehensive Information System of e-EFKA social insurance platform, links all information systems and forms the core of social insurance. It provides a unified management of contributions and insurance coverage, automates procedures in pensions, improves controls and transparency, adapts to changes faster, and links with critical agencies such as the tax office (AADE) and the General Trade Registry (GEMI).
Also, the “Digitization of the e-EFKA insurance history“ involves the digitization of over 42 million pages of insurance history from former agencies related to main and supplementary insurance. This will accelerate the processing of pension payments and will provide a single digital archive of insurance data.
In addition, with the use of Intelligent Document Procession, EFKA will digitize and add to documents with metadata, be able to automatically extract and confirm data, and have human oversight to ensure accuracy.
