BAGUIO CITY, Philippines — The Mountain Province Police Provincial Office has condemned the killing of a child in Barangay Banawel in Natonin town as authorities continue to process two minor suspects in the case.
Police said the child, who was reported missing on May 23, was found unconscious behind a church in Barangay Banawel at around 7:30 a.m. the following day.
The child’s grandmother had earlier noticed the victim was missing at around 2 p.m., prompting residents to organize a search.
The victim was rushed to a hospital but was declared dead on arrival.
