BAGUIO CITY — The Baguio-Bontoc Road connecting Benguet and Mountain Province was closed to traffic on Thursday after a landslide in Sitio Tiktik, Barangay Bontoc Ili in Bontoc town, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) reported.
The DPWH Mountain Province 1st District Engineering Office said in its 2:05 p.m. situational report that the road was closed at Kilometer 390+030 due to the slope collapse.
The DPWH said privately owned equipment have been mobilized to clear the road.
All other national roads within the district’s area of responsibility remained open to vehicular traffic.
