BAGUIO CITY — Two roads in Benguet capital town, La Trinidad, were closed to traffic on Monday (Aug. 3) after continuous rains dumped by Tropical Depression Luis and an enhande monsoon triggered landslides and soil collapse at Barangays Ambiong and Lubas, according to the La Trinidad Public Information Office.
Debris has obstructed the Ambiong-Lubas Road so motorists and residents were advised to avoid the area while emergency responders and local officials coordinated clearing operations.
