A Greek-managed Marshall Islands-flagged tanker was hit by an explosion on Monday off Oman, according to the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Insular Policy, but no injuries were reported among the crew.

According to the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations, the tanker was sailing about 60 nautical miles east of Muscat and reported an external explosion to port, near the waterline, that caused a fuel leak.

The ship had loaded oil in the United Arab Emirates and continues its voyage to India.
